| DAIDALOS WP1 | |
| Title: Architecture | |
| Main technical focus of WP1 | |
| Key task of WP1 is the implementation of the methodology
of a scenarios based design within Daidalos. This task is spitted into
several parts. First, a scenario is defined and specified. After this key
requirements are extracted and provided to the architectural design work. Further inputs to this architectural design work are a business modelling framework definition, overall security and broadcast activities which are dealing with the specification and definiton of additional requirements. Finally a further activity monitors the current standardization activities relevant to Daidalos in order to ensure that the adopted solutions within Daidalos are still in line with the global evolution within the standardization bodies. Finally the architecture and some sub-systems of the architecture will be modelled using standardized specification and modelling methods based on SDL/UML allowing a dynamic validation and verification. |

| Key innovation and novel research in WP1 | |
| The key innovation of WP1 is clearly the way how Daidalos approaches the integration towards an overall architecture. This integration comprises business model considerations as well as both, broadcast technology and broadcast services. Further, the overall architecture, result of this integration work and quite complex will be modelled, validated and verified in an early stage which results in a complex SDL/UML model. | |
