Daidalos Summer School in Stuttgart -
Beyond 3G and pervasive architectural concepts
The purpose of the Daidalos Summer School is to provide a combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on information about "Beyond 3G and pervasive architectural concepts" to students in the areas of telecommunications engineering and mobile computing.

Daidalos featured on the Deutsche Telekom Laboratories booth
at the CeBIT '08 fair in Hannover

The demonstration covered easy to use services. Parts of the Daidalos key concepts, including mobility, virtual identity and USP were demonstrated using a video application. This video application was appropriately modified depending on the current location - at home, in the office and on the road - and was delivered via a wireless device, or even via a public or a private Internet access point. Visitors to the demonstration included experts and the general public, and the virtual identity demonstration received the most positive feedback.

Ambient Networks-Daidalos Workshop on Locator/Identifier/Identity based Networking in Heidelberg
The joint workshop of Ambient Networks and Daidalos presented the latest results in Locator/Identifier/Identity based Networking from both projects.

Daidalos at Telecom I+D event in Valencia
At the Telecom I+D event in Valencia, Spain, Daidalos - represented by Telefónica I+D - participated in the poster exhibition. The poster showed results from the Daidalos work packages 3 and 4 on how to provide customizable and adaptable context-aware multimedia services.

Daidalos at "Open Innovation through European R&D Projects" event
Daidalos made a presentation at the "Open Innovation through European R&D Projects" event, which was organised at Telefonica I+D headquarters in Madrid, Spain. Business units from the Telefonica Group participated as well as other operators, service providers, equipment vendors , SMEs, academic institutions and research organizations.

Within the IFA area "Technology and components", Daidalos presented  Seamless Mobilty
and DVB-H handover. Both demonstrations attracted numerous professional visitors.

Daidalos at the Mobile & Wireless Communications Summit in Budapest
At the IST Mobile and Wireless Communications Summit in Budapest, Daidalos co-organised a full-day workshop on "Research and Deployment Possibilities based on MIPv6” and presented 10 papers in workshop and poster sessions.

Joint Workshop of the IPsphere Forum and Daidalos in Berlin
The joint workshop of the industry-driven IPsphere Forum and Daidalos will present major results achieved within both initiatives and will encourage harmonisation of concepts in order to enable business based on an “All-IP” approach.

Workshop on Digital Identity for NGN
Daidalos, in conjunction with the ITU-T, organised a workshop on "Digital Identity for NGN" at the ITU headquarters in Geneva. The workshop aimed at bringing together different international R&D companies, operators, standards organizations, and projects. The problem of digital identity and how identity maps to the network was in the focus of the discussions.

Daidalos among top ten exhibitions at the IST Event 2006 in Helsinki
As a part of the exhibition at the  IST Event 2006 in Helsinki, Daidalos  presented selected results with a focus on automotive scenarios. In a vote on the best exhibitions, Daidalos was ranked among the top ten.

On 11-12 May, Daidalos participated in the Joint Workshop "Security & Dependability in Mobile and Wireless: Future requirements for R&D Brussels". The 2-day working meeting was jointly organised by the SecurIST project, eMobility, and the WWRF.
