Ambient Networks-Daidalos Workshop on Locator/Identifier/Identity based Networking

Heidelberg, 19 - 20 November 2007

Start: 19 November 2007, 13:00
End: 20 November 2007, 15:00

After 4 years of working towards future architectures for fixed and mobile networks, it is time to get together and discuss the results, lessons learnt, and way forward towards the Future Internet.

Both of the projects, Ambient Networks and Daidalos, have worked in similar areas for a future Internet including mobility, host identity protocol (HIP), naming and addressing.

Following presentations on results and lessons learnt in specific areas dealt with in 4 technical sessions, we will discuss in the last part of the workshop the way forward towards a Future Internet and the missing pieces, where more research is required, or what other approaches might play a role.

The workshop targets a technical audience discussing technical solutions for problems in the HIP, mobility, naming, and addressing space for the Future Internet.

We will have 4 sessions:

Session 1: HIP and its extensions

Session 2: Naming and Addressing

Session 3: Locator-Identifier-identity based Mobility

Session 4: Future Research towards the Mobile Internet
