Daidalos at Security & Dependability workshop in Brussels on 11-12 May 2006

On 11-12 May, Daidalos participated in the Joint Workshop "Security & Dependability in Mobile and Wireless: Future requirements for R&D Brussels".

The 2-day working meeting was jointly organised by the SecurIST project, eMobility, and the WWRF. It was preceded by a wide-ranging preparatory on-line  exploration of stakeholder concerns and requirements. The workshop results produced extensive but focussed issues and priorities, which were used as contribution to the Strategic Research Agenda (SRA) and to the eMobility Technology Platform.

The Daidalos video was used in the opening plenary session along with the keynote addresses in order to provide background and inspiration as a very relevant scenario and reference point for the discussions throughout the workshop. The Daidalos scenario was chosen, as it portrayed a mobile worker accessing services throughout the day, which requires the integration of complementary network technologies to provide secure, dependable, pervasive and user-centred access to these services.
